Proper Fit Checklist:
-
The neckline should not be loose enough to cover baby’s nose or mouth.
- Arm holes should be loose enough to comfortably get on and off baby without issue, but not so loose that they allow the sleep bag neckline to move above chin.

Baby should be able to fully extend their legs and move hips freely to support healthy development.
Pro Parent Tip: Skip the sleeper on warmer nights—pair the bag with just a short sleeve bodysuit for ultra-breathable comfort.
Composition: 95% Bamboo, 5% Spandex inner and outer shells.

Sleep bags are roomy on purpose. Go by the length for your baby's age rather than sizing up. A bag that's too long lets baby slip down inside it.
A sleep bag is a wearable blanket. It replaces loose blankets, which aren't recommended in a baby's sleep space, and keeps baby warm with nothing that can ride up over their face.
How it should fit
- Snug at the neck and armholes. Zipped up, the neckline should not slide up past baby's chin. If it does, the bag is too big.
- Never size up for growing room. A bag that's too big lets baby slip down inside it, which is a suffocation risk.
- Roomy through the hips and legs, so legs can bend up and out freely.
How to use it
- Always place baby on their back to sleep, on a firm, flat mattress in a crib, cradle or bassinet that meets Canadian regulations.
- Keep the sleep space clear: no blankets, pillows, bumper pads or toys.
- Don't add blankets over the bag. Choose the TOG for your room temperature and check the back of baby's neck. If it's hot or sweaty, remove a layer. Overheating is a risk factor for SIDS.
- Nothing should cover baby's head. Never add a hat or hood for sleep, and never add weight to the bag.
- Swaddle bags: stop using the arms-in position at the first sign of rolling and switch to arms out.
- Not for car seats. A harness can't sit correctly over a sleep bag. Dress baby in regular clothes for travel and put the bag on at bedtime.
